NHS Track Teams Honor Members at Awards Night

Both the Newberry High School girls’ and boys’ track teams from this past spring finally got together for an awards night after being bumped several times for one reason or another.

Madison Grigg was awarded MVP and the Captain’s Award.

The Coaches’ Award went to Adrika Tomica, and Most Improved was Olivia Price.

Brandon Christensen was named MVP for the boys’ team.

David Carlson and Andre James shared the Captain’s Award.

Jeff Rahilly was named Iron Man.

The Most Improved of the freshmen/sophomores on the team was Ephram Evans.

There were two school track records broken this year, one by Ethan Edwards in the pole vault when he cleared 13 feet. The other was achieved by the 800-meter relay team of Andre James, Jaylen James, Jeff Rahilly and Brandon Christensen, which combined for a total time of 1:34.04.
