Ray E. Hayford

Ray E. Hayford, 62, of Hulbert died suddenly at his home Wednesday May 9, 2018.

Born September 22, 1955 in Tecumseh, he was a son of Raymond C. and Edith M. (Anspach) Hayford. He also lived in Adrian, where he graduated from high school.

Following graduation he entered the Marines and was honorably discharged in 1975. He then began his employment as a truck driver for South Eastern Transportation.

On March 21, 1998 he married the former Jane Clark in Manistique, moving to the Upper Peninsula more than 20 years ago. He enjoyed spending his time fishing, hunting and being with his wife, family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Charles Hayford; stepfather, John Noveskey; and nephew, Brian Lee Bouchard.

Survivors include his wife, Jane of Hulbert; mother Edith Noveskey of Adrian; siblings, Jeff (Clair) living in England, Mari Jo Ashbay serving with the Air Force in S. Korea, Chris (Bob) Pierson of McBain, Cheryl (David) Flores of Idaho, Tina (Grimaldi) Gonzales of Adrian, DaLeana Hayford in Washington state, Konnie Sota of Adrian and John (Cindy) Noveskey of Tulsa, OK; and several nieces, nephews, greatnieces and great-nephews.

According to his wishes, cremation services have been accorded. A celebration of life service is being planned and will be announced at a later date.
