News from the Tahquamenon Area Library
by Dion Mindykowski, Librarian

—To the joy of some staff and to the dismay of others, the Tahquamenon Area Library has finally acknowledged that winter is gone. We have taken down our signs reminding library patrons to check for school closings in case of snowstorms.

We also have a large selection of our gardening books on display. Another display in the children’s section encourages young readers to “Get outside, eh?” And let’s not mention the display about insects. The buzz of all the mosquitos will remind us of that soon enough.

—Are you on vacation in the area and need a quick read for your campsite, hotel room or cabin? The ongoing book sale at the Tahquamenon Library has more than 1,600 books available in exchange for a donation the library. All funds will be used to directly benefit the library collection, programs, technology and services.

We also have free WIFI, 17 computers and a printer. The printer is black and white and each page costs 10 cents.

Library hours are:

Monday, Wednesday, Friday

8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Tuesday and Thursday

8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
