Congratulations to Harlan McGahan, who won a Remington 783 30-06 with scope Saturday night at the Northstar Beast Feast. Mike Davis won a Savage 22 as second prize. Fourteen other guests won prizes as well. All enjoyed the alligator, octopus, buffalo and other wild game dishes and the delicious desserts.

Gary Moore did a great job speaking on the subject “The Trip of a Lifetime.” Thanks to all who had a part and a special thanks to Rick and Denise at R & M Sport and Bait, A.J. Downing and Duke’s Sports Shop for helping to sponsor this year’s Beast Feast.

The academy students are in the middle of the spring fundraiser. Anyone wanting to order pasties can call any student or the school at 293- 3899. They will be made Saturday, April 14.

The Senior Meal is set for Monday, April 16 at 12:00 noon. The menu includes Parmesan chicken, rice pilaf, sautéed carrots and dessert. All those 60 and up are invited to join us in the lower level of Northstar Baptist Church for some good food and fellowship.

The students are all busy preparing for their convention competitions. The Junior Convention is April 20 at Northstar. The older students will attend the ACE Great Lakes Regional Convention at Adrian College May 1 - 4.

Happy Birthday this week to Jo Betterly.

Baptist Boys Battalion for all boys nine years old and up will meet Sunday, April 22 after the morning service.
