St. Ignace

St. Ignace grew up around a mission founded by Father Marquette in 1671, and named St. Ignace in honor of St. Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Jesuits. (Ignace being the French form of Ignatius). Ignatius is a Latin name meaning "Fire."
