Judith Roach

Judith “Judy” Roach, 73, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at her home in Eckerman surrounded by her loving family and under the care of North Woods Hospice.

She was born September 4, 1944 in Newberry, the 13th of 14 children, to George and Ida (Mitchem) Wood.

She married Gerald “Frank” Roach, Sr. October 22, 1962. The couple resided in Eckerman, where they raised their four children: Laura (John II) Thomas (Laura preceded her in death) of Eckerman, Cathy (Jeff) Pilbeam of Tecumseh, Gerald Roach, Jr. of Eckerman and Dian (Charles) Welch of Eckerman. She was blessed with six grandchildren and one great-grandson.

She was well known for her quilts and loved making her own patterns/designs. Her one real passion was flowers. She loved spending time outside planting and showing them off. She also enjoyed crocheting, drawing and painting, going fishing, cooking, reading (Stephen King was her favorite) and watching movies.

Per request, cremation services were accorded. A memorial to celebrate her life will be held in the spring of 2018.
