MSU 4-H Extension

Longtime MSU Extension staff member, Jessica Price, began her new role as 4-H program coordinator and Great Start parent liaison October 27.

Though her job responsibilities and focus have shifted from nutrition to youth and family development, Price says she’s excited because her ultimate goal will remain the same: “To create positive experiences and change in people’s lives and in our community. This position is unique in the state of Michigan, and the combined forces of 4-H and Great Start will allow us to work with youth and families through the lifespan.”

Plans to continue many family favorite programs are underway, such as Family Fun Nights, 4-H Exploration Days, Winter Break for Knowledge and more. Inschool nutrition education programs also are continuing for youth in grades two - five.

New programs and projects are set to begin as well. Watch for toddler and preschool playgroups, parenting workshops, 4-H Family Engagement Nights and new 4-H club offerings. Also new is a 4-H Family Newsletter that will be distributed monthly throughout the school year.
