Colorado Yoopers Award Grants to U.P. Nonprofits

The Colorado Yoopers have announced grants totaling $1,000 to Upper Peninsula non-profits. Founded 16 years ago, the Colorado Yoopers raise funds every year for U.P. non-profits at an annual fall picnic in the Denver area attended by nearly 300 former Yoopers.

Grants from the Colorado Yoopers have been made to Dial Help (Crisis Unit) in Houghton, Locker Lunch (weekend food program) in Iron River, AAUW Iron Mountain/Kingsford (for scholarships), Outreach Ministry (backpacks for school readiness and baskets for seniors) from Manistique to Marquette and other non-profits over the past 16 years.

To be eligible the nonprofit must have a 501(c)(3) designation. Provide the name of the organization, contact information for the person applying for the grant, missions of the organization, number of people the organization serves and a Website or Facebook address.
