MACKINAC COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

WEEKLY ACTIVITY REPORT

For the week of September 4 – 10, the following activity was reported by the Mackinac County Sheriff’s office:

—Deputies responded to four traffic crashes, two involving car vs. deer. One crash involved an Off Road Vehicle, where injuries were reported. The other crash involved two boats involving injuries.

—Deputies investigated five larceny complaints, three of which involved theft of gasoline. The larcenies took place in Clark, Garfield, Marquette and Moran Townships.

—Deputies located an elderly female lost in the Les Cheneaux area. She was reunited with her family.

—Deputies stopped a vehicle in Garfield Township for failing to yield for oncoming traffic. The female driver was subsequently arrested for operating while intoxicated.

—Deputies responded to a residence in Moran Township for a suicidal male. He was transported to the Mackinac Straits Hospital for treatment.

—Deputies responded to four animal complaints: one dog bite, two animals at large and one barking dog.

—Eight subjects were booked into the Mackinac County Jail.
