Shrek: The Musical Gears Up for Opening Night

Nicole Gustafson Nicole Gustafson Visitors to the Erickson Center in Curtis regularly show their love for anything having to do with the arts. Starting Thursday, August 10 and going through Saturday, August 12 they’ll get another opportunity as the Center presents Shrek: The Musical. The loveable ogre will sing his way into the audience’s hearts at 7:00 p.m. nightly.

The director for the musical is Nicole Gustafson, who used to live in New York where she pursued her love of theater. She came to Michigan to share her passion for the arts with ng together, slow and steady! So many people are working to help make this show a reality. It’s truly awesome to see everything coming together the way I’ve envisioned it!” said Gustafson.

Faces familiar to the community will bring the play to life, including Michael Beaulieu as Shrek, M.J. Webb as Princess Fiona and Sophia Gustafson as Donkey.

The cast has been rehearsing nonstop to provide the audience with a night they won’t forget. For ticket information call the Erickson Center at 586-9974.
