Trinity is raising funds to assist Heather Runkis and the Miles family with any medical and travel expenses that have accumulated as she suffers from SLE Lupus (systemic lupus erythematosus).

SLE Lupus is an autoimmune disease that causes white blood cells to attack healthy tissue instead of infections and viruses. Runkis also was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and kidney failure that required two months of dialysis.

Due to her health, she moved back to Newberry to be closer to family, leaving behind the job she loved in Iowa.

Those who cannot attend can contribute online at /9jnvyh-heathers-medicalfund or send any monetary donations to Trinity Lutheran Church, 711 Newberry Avenue, Newberry, MI 49868.
